*Way to Work* A Poem by Jan Harler

Fell asleep Monday morning in the wee small hours
Only to wake and find snow had covered Wanaka's towers
So I crept to work like an old man unable to stand
Slow and steady with a camera in one hand
I slipped and slide
From side to side
But I finally made it with a sure footed stride.

  1. Very good I read it out at work. Is it really winter there ? I cant get over my belief that NZ is in the Pacific and therefore a tropical island not a tempretat one. No wonder the Maoris pull those faces.
